Where the Wild Things Are

New Ancient Structures is a two-man show in Philly’s Space 1026 featuring hometown hero A.J. Fosik, known for his insane sculptures (I guess they’re sculpture, they are 3D), and Andrew Schoultz, a San Fran painter who creates a storm of colors on the canvas. The two have collaborated to create an installation that is pretty trippy—with bears bursting through the walls and laser beams bouncing throughout the gallery space—that stems from both artists’ shared love of comics, street art and pop surrealism. Exhibition closes on the 30th, so don’t sleep. Definitely not the same old, same old…
